🐣 Chick Days 2026 – Fun, Fresh, & A Little Different This Year!

Welcome to Chick Days 2026! We’ve made some exciting changes this year to bring you healthy chicks, better breed options, and a smoother ordering experience.

Because we’ve partnered with new, smaller family-owned hatcheries (yay!), availability will be a little more unpredictable. To keep things running smoothly, Chick Days 2026 will run as an order-only program.

📦 About Availability

Once chicks leave the hatchery, they’re in the hands of the U.S. Post Office. That means shipping delays, condition upon arrival, and timing are out of our control—we’re just as excited and anxious as you are for them to arrive safely!

Live bird shipping costs have increased nationwide. Some hatcheries absorb this; others do not. We promise our prices remain as fair as possible, and we are proud of the high-quality, value-aligned hatcheries we selected for 2026.

While we can’t provide the hatchery for each individual breed, we can share a full list of the hatcheries we source from upon request.

To avoid confusion (and past drama), we do not post hatchery names online or on social media.

All chicks are first come, first served, and breeds will be marked SOLD OUT as they become unavailable.

🐥 Bantam Availability

Bantam supplies are very limited this year. No hatchery we spoke with could meet the numbers we usually need, so bantams will likely be offered in assorted lots only, whenever available.

📅 Pickup Info

• If you arrive early, you will be asked to wait.
• If you have not received a notification by 1 PM on Chick Days, please reach out.

🐥 Once Notified:

• Come to the chick barn FIRST to pick up your chicks.
• Then head inside The Mill to pay WITH YOUR CHICK SHEET.

🐥 Pick up your chicks on the dates listed. AFTER YOU RECIEVE THE NOTIFICATION THEY ARE READY

🐥 Not picked up by Saturday?
They’ll be released to the public on Monday.

🐥 All chicks come vaccinated for Marek’s.

📧 ALL chick orders will receive arrival notifications through our email list.
If you unsubscribe, you will NOT receive pickup notifications—period.

📱 All Chick Days customers are also added to our texting database.
If you unsubscribe from texts, you will NOT receive the message that your chicks have arrived.

We unfortunately cannot call customers individually or answer “Are my chicks here yet?” phone calls during pickup days—we’re assisting large volumes of people and need to keep the process moving smoothly.

🐔 About Chick Sexing

• All chicks are female unless marked Straight Run.

• Hatcheries guarantee 80% accuracy on female sexing.

• There is always a 20% chance of a surprise roo.

• Straight Run = unsexed males & females.

💛 Health & Guarantee

You’ll be able to inspect your chicks before taking them home.
After they leave the store:

No Call / No Show Reminder:
Missing your pickup without contacting us cancels the rest of your 2026 chick orders. No hate, we just don't need to be stuck with extras.

You’ll receive a confirmation email every time your order changes.

👉 Only the most recent confirmation (also printed in the chick barn) is valid.
👉 Older emails cannot be honored or entertained.

⏱ Order Form Timing

You'll have 30 minutes to complete your order once you begin.
A timer will show how much time remains.
When time expires, the form refreshes and releases any reserved quantities.
